Newport Coast
The Newport Coast encompasses 9,432 acres of scenic Southern California coastline – extending for 3 miles between Newport Beach and Laguna Beach. The Local Coastal Program (LCP) and development regulations created a showcase planned community combining two world-class 18-hole golf courses, a 2,100-room destination resort, and 2,600 homes clustered in Mediterranean enclaves. FORMA has been the primary planning/entitlement consultant to the Irvine Company since the LCP and Development Agreement was approved. This included all master developer and builder site plans, maps, and permits. FORMA was also the landscape architect for both of the golf courses and the clubhouse. The Pelican Hills golf course has achieved national recognition as a premiere coastal golf course.
