The Adelanto North 2035 Plan establishes the long-term land use and transportation strategies in guiding the community in sustainable development. This planning effort was prepared under, and funded by, the State of California Sustainable Communities Planning Grant and Incentive Programs. The previous City General Plan was a patchwork quilt of land uses based on 1950’s outdated planning principles. Working with the Community, Planning Commission and City Council, FORMA and the Planning Team developed a viable centers concept that focused on existing and future attractions and features of the City. Both the City Planning Commission and City Council unanimously approved the plan along with the support of the community.
